a note from our founder

When I was growing up, jewelry was always around me.

I'm Indian-American, and jewelry has long been part of our celebrations and traditions. But if I'm honest, I didn't fall in love with it right away.

The pieces I saw growing up were often beautiful and intricate, but they were mostly made for weddings and special occasions rather than everyday life. They usually spent most of their time tucked away in a bank locker, waiting for the next celebration.

It wasn't until university that I began to see jewelry differently.

I noticed simple, timeless pieces that people wore every day – a necklace that never came off, a bracelet that became part of someone's daily stack. Jewelry that naturally became part of a person's life instead of waiting for a special occasion.

i wanted my own jewelry to feel the same way.

For years, I admired pieces from some of the world's most iconic jewelry houses but couldn't imagine owning them. And even once I could, I questioned whether I should. Was it really worth spending that much on myself? Should I be saving that money instead?

I bought a few pieces over time that I still wear today. They remind me that the jewelry we treasure most isn't always the jewelry we save for special occasions, but often the jewelry that becomes part of our everyday lives.

That realization left me with a question I couldn't shake.

Why should timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and premium materials have to come with the constraints of a legacy brand?

What if a modern fine jewelry house could focus its investment where it matters most:
in the jewelry itself?

that's what eventually led me to create alira.

As I spoke with friends and family, I realized my experience wasn't unique. Many wanted the same thing I did: beautifully crafted pieces they could wear every day, confidence in the quality of what they were buying, and the peace of mind that they were making a thoughtful investment.

That's exactly what we're building.

Every piece begins with an idea inspired by nature and the people, places, and moments that shape us. Our artisans and technical designers bring those ideas to life using 18k solid gold and natural diamonds because I believe quality should never be compromised, and every piece should be presented with honesty about the materials and craftsmanship that define it.

i also believe luxury shouldn't be reserved for life's biggest milestones.

The ordinary moments deserve beautiful things too.

Whether you're celebrating life's biggest milestones or simply enjoying an ordinary day, I hope the pieces you wear become part of the memories you make.

thank you for letting us be a small part of your story.
